Take a Look at K-On! Music History’s Box Set

K-On! Music History’s Box Set is currently on preorder and will be released on 20th of March 2013 (you can preorder it from ami ami or Amazon Japan). The set contains more than 200 tracks on twelve CDs, featuring the soundtracks for both seasons and the movie, as well as all OPs and Eds and the drama. It also features songs from the PSP game K-On! Hokago Live!, and previously unreleased live music and a pretty booklet. The box set costs 19,800 yen.

Princess and the Pilot Anime Film Aquired by NIS America

NIS America has announced that it acquired MADHOUSE's The Princess and the Pilot (To Aru Hikushi e no Tsuioku) anime film and will release it on Blu-ray Disc on 15th of May 2013 in a subtitled-only premium edition set for US$44.99. Included in the set will be a 32-page hardcover art book and collectible slipcase. Video extras include Japanese commercials and theatrical previews.

The film adapts Koroku Inumura's romance novel of the same name. NISA describes the story:

“The war between the Levamme Empire and the Amatsukami Imperium has been raging for years. In the midst of this struggle, the prince of the Levamme Empire declares his love for Juana del Moral and vows to end the war in one year, as part of his marriage proposal. When the Amatsukami catch wind of this, they assault the del Moral residence, targeting Juana's life. As a last-ditch effort to bring the prince his bride, the San Maltilia Airforce employs a mercenary of mixed blood — a bestado — to fly Juana to the prince in secret. The pilot, Charles, accepts the mission ... but traversing an ocean alone, and into enemy territory, proves a much more dangerous ordeal than anyone could have anticipated.”

ZEDD feat. Hatsune Miku – Spectrum (Livetune Remix) Presented

Zedd, the 23-year-old producer who remixed several of Lady Gaga's songs recorded a collaboration project with the virtual idol Hatsune Miku for his own Japanese major debut "Spectrum." Hatsune Miku sings in English.

Ghost in the Shell Arise Anime Series Announced

Dear Viewers,

New series for the Ghost in the Shell franchise have been announced by Bandai Visual. A simultaneous worldwide streaming event for Ghost in the Shell Arise will be available with English audio on the official Ghost in the Shell Arise website and the show's YouTube channel on 12th of February 2013 at 9:00 p.m. (7:00 a.m. EST).

The 60-minute event will include announcements, the opening animation, and a promotional video. Staff guests will include chief director and character designer Kazuchika Kise, series composition and scriptwriter Tow Ubukata, and Production I.G co-founder Mitsuhisa Ishikawa. Special guests - Satoshi Endo from Kadokawa ASCII Research Laboratories Inc. and Takeshi Natsuno, professor at Keio University's Graduate School of Media and Governance.

A second Ghost in the Shell Arise launch event will be held in Taiwan on 14th of February as part of the Taipei International Comic and Anime Festival, and will feature guests from Japan.

More Berserk Films Planned After the Third Movie

Berserk’s Movies director Toshiyuki Kubooka mentioned at the press conference for the Berserk Ogon Jidai-Hen III: Korin (Berserk Golden Age Arc III: Descent) Movie that there is more Berserk in the works. Quote:

“We're currently moving to make [Berserk] a saga project. But this is as much as I can say. It's a secret. It's really not at the stage I can say anything about it, but the project is in motion.”

Will there be a Berserk movie number 4? We expect more info to be delivered soon.
